We have an immediate opening for a Software Team Lead/developer to work in our
Software team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and
supporting innovative software for X-ray metrology tools used in the
semiconductor industry. Experience writing in C#.Net a must, Experience in
mixed C++ and managed code. Qualified candidates should have a B.A. or B.Sc
degree in Computer Science or a related field together with industry
experience.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Design and develop OO modules in Bruker tool operating software.
* Develop fully working software modules including test-cases.
* Support and improve existing software.
* Collaborate with the application, tech support, Core Technology and production teams.
* Communicate clearly and concisely (in English).
* Ability to lead a small SW team

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

* Fluency and strong experience of a modern object oriented languages such as C# and C++.
* Experience with industry standard tools such as: TFS/Dev Ops, Git, MS Visual Studio 2017+.
* Must be a self-starter able to work independently as well as part of a small team on challenging problems
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills (in English and Hebrew)
* Follow Bruker R&D flow: PRD, DR, FDR, STD, SRN

Knowledge in one, or more, of the following areas would be a distinct
advantage:

* Semiconductors industry experience
* SECS/GEM protocol
* gRPC/ Inter Process Communication

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in in computer sciences/software engineering.
* 3+ years experience in software development, part of it in technical leadership roles (architect, tech lead, team lead)
* Demonstrated experience in product releases throughout the entire development cycle (preferably multidisciplinary system)
* Expertise in C#, C++, and techniques used to implement quality software products.
* Experience with semiconductor industry – an advantage.
* Experience with developing packages for 3 rd party HW devices – an advantage.
* Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives
* Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment

Responsibilities

The candidate will work closely with the applications team on physical
modelling for the analysis of X‑ray scattering data for metrology tools used
in the semiconductor industry. Experience with complex physical models,
simulations, and scientific data analysis is a must. Qualified candidates
should ideally have a PhD or MSc degree in physics or a related field together
with industry experience. We are looking a person with a pragmatic and results
oriented attitude to work on challenging projects that will impact current and
future products.

Essential Functions

* Create and optimize complex physical models to analyze X-ray metrology data using state-of-the-art simulation tools
* Analyze and present / report the results from simulation studies and assess correlations, sensitivity, and uncertainties of model parameters
* Provide timely, expert support to internal and external customers / collaborators
* Develop automated data analysis workflows using scripting / or prototypes as part of customer support and R&D activities
* Work with the applications, engineering, and marketing teams to understand customer challenges and propose creative solutions

Additional Responsibilities

* Contribute to technical articles and customer / conference presentations
* Participate in Israeli and EU consortia projects
* Able to travel occasionally (10%), including international travel

Qualifications

Required:Ph,D. or M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related
science / engineering field. Ideally 3+ years of experience

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

* * Demonstrated mastery of complex physical modelling / simulation software
* Fluency with scripting languages used for data analysis, e.g., Python or MATLAB
* Strong analytical skills including statistical methods for data analysis
* Able to learn new scientific and technical concepts efficiently and deeply

* Goal oriented with good track record of achieving targets.
* Ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects.

* X-ray or optical (ellipsometry or OCD Scatterometry) metrology data analysis
* Prior experience in the semiconductor industry
* Good knowledge of materials engineering basics
* Experience with scientific programming in a modern object-oriented languages such as C++ or C#.
