About the Job
We are looking for an experienced BI Engineer to lead reporting initiatives
across multiple functions. The right person will be responsible for creating
and maintaining our Business Intelligence and Data Systems, perform
exploratory data analysis and analytical deep dive using modern services &
tools, and communicate findings in a way that is clear and accessible
We work on AWS and GC with various data services and are constantly utilizing
new tools and technologies.
What will you do –
* Design and develop data systems and services to support various business questions.
* Work closely with executives, product managers, and other stakeholders to define business questions and data requirements clearly.
* Define data models that best suit business cases.
* Work closely with R&D Engineers to define tracking and other data capturing.
* Design and develop data processes.
* Optimize and maintain the data systems.
* Act as the Data Engineering focal point in relevant projects and domains
* Work independently, while collaborating with multiple departments
What should you have –
* At least 3+ years of experience as a data or BI analyst.
* At least 3+ years of experience with relational databases.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate quantitative analysis to actionable next steps.
* SQL at a mother-tongue language level – must (good technical knowledge of how things work under the hood).
* Experience in Fintech, SaaS, or similar (where data is used to analyze user acquisition, conversion & funnels, user behavior, and performance, etc.).
* Experience in Data Modeling.
* BI systems architecture and design (including Data security, Scale-ability, Maintainability, Usability, etc.).
* Experience with BI reporting tools: Preference for AWS Quicksight. Alternatively, Microstrategy, Tableau, Power-BI.
* Experience with Segment CDP, other ETL tools, as well as Python/R scripting skills.
* Experience with statistical modeling and experimental design.
* Unstructured data: AWS Athena, Presto, Hive, Hadoop – advantage.
* Cloud data services: Preference for AWS – advantage.
* Undergraduate degree in quantitative major (Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent experience – a great advantage.
