Job Description:
A data-driven leader who will strive to ensure the real-time efficiency and
optimization of our logistics and transportation network. You will contribute
within an existing team of analysts and subject matter experts that will be
responsible for unlocking the potential of data-driven decision making to
deliver quality, flexibility, and scalability of a rapidly growing business.
You will help develop best practices, tools and technology that aid in our
ability to obtain, analyze, and interpret data, either by building or
procuring those tools. You will collaborate with many leaders across our
matrixed organization, from working with Sales to drive new business
expansion, to Fleet and Operations on efficiency gains.
You Will
Analytics Leadership
* Develop, procure, and implement new tools, technology, and operating platforms to enhance logistics support capabilities.
* Serve as an internal and external thought leader, educating others and attending industry events to stay attuned to new methods and technologies within the analytical domain
* Develop capabilities with existing team members and recruit top talent to join the team.
* Define network design and capability plans to meet the company’s short and long-term goals.
* Drive a performance culture that ties key operations and financial metrics to measure individual and team success.
Network Optimization
* Relentlessly pursue continuous network optimization by driving initiatives across all lines of business to improve network performance, reduce logistical costs, and ultimately produce a higher level of service and more efficient transportation product for all internal and external clients.
* Develop supply chain modeling capabilities to enable strong end-to-end decision across the enterprise by enabling an understanding of cost-to-serve.
* Implement the use of simulations to measure daily performance, identifying key trends and areas of improvement for the network to address and improve upon on the front-end.
* Leverage simulations and predictive analytics to drive front-end decision making within the field.
Sales Enablement, Pricing, Customer Retention
* Support Sales/Pre-Sales engineering teams in expanding new and existing client revenue through solution design, transportation costing and bid response, and implementation / launch.
* Review customer pricing performance post implementation, ensuring competitiveness within the marketplace and preventing margin decline for Pitney Bowes.
* Partner with Client Success team to maximize client performance, customer experience, and retention.
Fleet Support
* Seek opportunities to transition freight from outsourced transportation providers to Pitney Bowes’ private fleet improving service for our customers and/or reducing overall transportation spend.
* Work with Talent Acquisition, Operations, Fleet Operations, and local Fleet Management teams to ensure proper staffing and equipment levels to ensure a successful implementation of in-sourced transportation solutions.
* Identify backhaul opportunities for seeking external freight opportunities that unlock additional lane insourcing and margin expansion for Fleet.
Your Background
As a Senior Analyst, Network Solutions, you have:
* Bachelor’s degree.
* 5+ years in Supply Chain, Operations, Process Engineering, Analytics, Pricing, or closely related field.
* 3+ years of experience working directly with distribution network design.
* A track record of delivering objectives and key results in terms of cost and service improvements in a distribution and transportation environment.
* Knowledge and daily application of continuous improvement and Lean methodologies to drive out and eliminate waste in complicated distribution networks.
* Experience using technology to drive innovation.
* Proven track record of building out business intelligence tools and data visualization, and success using data to tell a story and influence front-line decision making.
* Experience with presenting to the most senior leadership levels effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work remotely effectively with a wide variety of people and functions.
* Demonstrated detail orientation, organization, reliability, and resourcefulness.
Preferred
* Master’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
