At-Bay is a fast-growing cyber and specialty insurance startup based out of
Mountain View, CA. We're an insurance company built by cybersecurity experts,
leveraging our security expertise to better understand digital risks and thus
create better insurance products and services. We help clients by providing
both risk transfer (the insurance policy), guidance on their security issues,
and active risk management (helping them stay safe). At-Bay has raised over
$50M in funding, backed by Acrew Capital, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture
Partners, Munich Re Ventures, and Shlomo Kramer. We are currently 50
employees, split between Mountain View, San Francisco, New York City, Atlanta,
and Tel Aviv, with a plan to double our headcount and increase our span across
the US by year-end.
Responsibilities
* Lead new data-driven cyber research projects from initial phase to production
* Design and build the technology solutions needed to collect the data for security assessment
* Asses and integrate solutions by other vendors for faster results
* Guide the teams in the company on the correct way to model cyber risks to insurance products
* Stay on top of security trends and emerging threats
Requirements
* At least 2 years of professional experience in data research teams ideally within a fast-growing tech, insurance, or financial services company
* Good scripting skills (python – advantage)
* Experience with Big Data tools and research (SQL, Snowflake, Splunk)
* Proven ability to collaborate well with teams across the company
* Proven ability to build software tools using in house code and integration with 3rd party tools
* Lean mindset with a desire to achieve results in an iterative manner with continuous improvement.
* Understanding of networking and security to assess risks and threats – a big plus
* Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a related field required – an advantage
* Fluent in English (written and verbal)
