Job Description Summary:
PayPal Working Capital Credit Risk Team is an innovative and exceptional team
with a mission to design and constantly optimize PayPal Working Capital
decision strategy. It specializes in creating, driving, and executing
initiatives to mitigate credit risk on the one hand, while improving the
business performance and operation on the other hand. While leveraging
PayPal’s cutting-edge technology and rich data environment, the team applies
its strong analytical skills and thinking as well as creative problem-solving
approach to address varied complex challenges, driving an immense impact on
PayPal Working Capital performance, as well as on PayPal’s top and bottom
line.

As part of your role you will

As a member of our team, you will play a key part in bringing our mission to
life, including:

* Develop and own, from end-to-end, data-driven risk decision strategies that improve our business and financial goals
* Identify problems and build novel solutions to optimize performance and minimize risk & loss
* Measure, monitor and analyze strategy & portfolio performance against our KPIs, goals and the changing environment
* Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data driven decision-making
* Lead or participate in varied projects that utilizes PayPal’s rich data environment and cutting-edge technology to address complex challenges
* Plan and execute processes from start to finish, in collaboration with a wide variety of partners and stakeholders across the company

About You

We are looking for a team player with a collaborative approach, who has a

An analytical thinker with sharp data analysis skills, a solid business
understanding, with high motivation and problem-solving approach. The ideal
candidate would have:

* Bachelor’s Degree or above in one of the following: Economics, Finance, Engineering, Exact Sciences, etc.
* 2+ years of hands-on experience in relevant positions: product/data analyst, delivery of ad hoc analytics, BI, predictive models
* Technical orientation; Experience in SQL / Python
* Demonstrated experience, familiarity and ease with handling large data sets
* Problem solver, team player, creative-thinker, fast learner, highly motivated
* Ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms, and effectively influence both peers and senior leadership
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
* An advantage: experience in an online payments or e-commerce company, or in the credit or risk domain
