We’ve identified a big gap in the way dev teams run. Dev teams are held back
today because their two most important sources of truth – Git and project
management – don’t talk to each other. Our mission is to correlate data from
Git, project management and CI/CD tools to provide dev teams with a greater
level of context and visibility into the way they work. The “engineering
efficiency” category is growing 35% YoY – among the fastest of any tech
category. Our main competitors in this space are taking a traditional
enterprise selling approach. We think our bottom-up, product-led strategy will
help us take the #1 position and define the category.
You will have the opportunity to lead development of a disruptive product that
transforms how developers and dev teams manage and measure their work. Joining
a highly technical and savvy group of doers, you are expected to be a hands-on
technical subject matter expert, a great communicator, and a strong team
player with innovative thinking, ability to ramp up on new technologies, and
keen eye for the business context.
Qualifications
* Outstanding personal and communication skills; great English; comfortable in front of technical and non-technical audiences.
* Independent problem solver with demonstrated success in handling ambiguity, fuzzy requirements and shifting priorities.
* Strong sense of ownership & collaboration.
* B. Sc. / M.Sc. in STEM or related field with emphasis on ML / data science.
* 3+ years proven track record as data scientist focused on development and delivery of large scale high-quality SaaS products. Versed in DevOps and MLOPs.
* 2+ years of experience in SQL, Big Data, Python and related data science tools (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy, etc.)
* 2+ years of dev experience in Python, Go, Scala or Node.js in large scale projects
Advantage
* 2+ years of experience deploying and automating on public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Proven experience in data science work in developer-facing use cases (i.ee.g. code analysis & predictions; modeling interactions between developers; dev process analysis,; dev project predictions; etc.)

As our first data scientist, you will:
* Work closely with our product and engineering departments to deliver product features relying on models derived from our data
* Gain intimate knowledge of our varied data sources, identifying opportunities to leverage the data to drive new product value
* Lay the foundations for our data science team, establishing processes and hiring additional team members to grow our data operations
