The Operation Project Manager is responsible for operational aspects in a
product transition from R&D to production.
He will be leading an Integrated multi-disciplinary project team to assure
operational specifications and time lines are met.
Operational scope includes management of : BOM readiness , Supply Chain
definition, Production plan, line design and cycle time setting, Alfa and Beta
Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering deliveries.
The Project manager will be part of a joint product team and will drive
operational needs with R&D , Product line and Field Support managers.
The project manager will work in compliance with the Applied Materials defined
Product Life Cycle (PLC) method, and will be required to report project’s
progress and deliveries.
* Matrix management of a team of operational disciplines responsible for robust operational infrastructure:
* BOM definitions and release in MRP system (SAP).
* Applied Materials sub tier Suppliers readiness – robust supply chain in light of required capacity.
* Production readiness , definition of how the system is build, production cycle times , required jigs and facilities, procedures and manufacturing team readiness.
* Product’s enhancements by working with R&D on DFMs (design for manufacturing) and quality aspect of the product.
* Manage the project program
* Detailed deliveries from every discipline in alignment with the required success criteria in terms of time line , cost, safety and quality.
* Present progress and results to the team and to the department’s top management.
* Raise projects risks and opportunities, on time, to the management team.
Requirements:
* MS.C/ B.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial ) from a known academic institution.
* At least 5 year project management experience , experienced in transition from R&D to production of a HW based product.
* Proven ability to drive teams in a matrix management environment
* Experience from a Semiconductor Equipment manufacturing company or similar – advantage
* Proven knowledge of wafer inspection systems – advantage
* Experience with suppliers negotiations – advantage
* Excellent English level (speaking, reading, writing)
