Job Description

Intel Wireless Communication Solutions (WCS) is a world-class leader in
wireless connectivity and the industry's number one provider of WiFi/BT

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for discovering new security
vulnerabilities and a strong foundation and understanding of emerging threats
in the landscape the hacker community. In this role you will be driving
Security Research and Assurance for WCS products and technologies. You will
play a crucial role in ensuring that secure development best practices and
security objectives are met for Intel's Wireless Solutions.

Intel's Security Validation team in WCS organization (Intel Wireless
Communication Solutions) is looking for proven hands-on experienced, Technical
Leader in breaking and protecting security of SW/FW/HW/Crypto products
implementations, who is PASSIONATE about Offensive and defensive Security
Research (OSR)

Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

Red Teaming and Vulnerability research

Discovering vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the architecture, design and the
implementation of Wireless products.

Driving hackathons

Driving security audits and investigations to ensure design/implementation
meets architecture objectives.

Active role in security architecture definitions to ensure architecture
thoroughness.

Work with security champions, architects, and validation engineers to ensure
timely completion of all Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) activities, risk
assessments and mitigation of risk associated with projects.

Objective, independent reviewer of the product's security artifacts and risks.

Qualifications

Applicants should ideally possess 10 years of experience in the field of
system security research and excel in exploring software and/or hardware
techniques as a method of attack against targets within computing systems.

Ability to work autonomously in a less structured startup type environment
with minimal supervision is a must.

Ability to lead other security researchers is also a requirement.

Ability to span security expertise over HW, SW and Firmware domains.

Passion for understanding latest attacks in the industry and applying to
Client platforms where applicable.

Applicants should have In-depth expertise and experience in five or more of
the following areas, including security threats, vulnerability research and
security development lifecycle practices:

Knowledge of computer architecture, CPU, SoC, chipsets, BIOS, Firmware,
Drivers, and others

Experience with design and development of WLAN / Bluetooth communications
systems

Strong knowledge of WLAN protocol 80211abcgneacaxbe?

Security analysis and vulnerability assessment

Reverse engineering skills

Exploitation and mitigation technique developments

Security testing techniques including fuzzing and pen-testing

Paper publication, participation in bug bounty programs, recognitions from
products and brands will be highly considered.

Expertise in strategizing advanced product security counter measures is
valuable.

Security Research and industry test tools/standards like Kali Linux, Peach,
Defensics, Hydra, BurpSuite, Metasploit, OWASP

Additional qualifications (good to have one or more):

* Knowledge of security technologies: authentication, cryptography, security protocols
* Strong network in security community, ethical hackers, academia
* Demonstrable knowledgeable in one or more OS internals – Linux, Windows, macOS, mobile OS etc
* Knowledgeable in one or more programming languages including low level assembly, C, Java, Python etc

* Ability to navigate around ambiguities and obstacles to independently solve complex problems

* Support and work with cross-functional and cross-geo teams in a dynamic environment
