Our company first-person-view solution enables sports fans to watch a sporting
event from the point of view of the player using computer vision to direct and
edit the video in real-time.
We are looking for a brilliant hands-on Software Development Team Leader to
join the founding team, leading the technology and development of our video
wearable solution and work closely with us – two founders that are both serial
entrepreneurs.
The position:
As the R&D Manager, you will manage outsourced teams, staff a team, bootstrap
the product, select the technologies, and meet aggressive go-to market
deadlines.
Responsibilities
· Full R&D cycle, from problem definition and research to implementation
· Manage outsourced SW and HW development teams
· Take technical decisions, and own an end to end product.
· Translate product goals into high-quality beautiful products.
· Hands-on development of features (~70% of the time)
What you’ll need:
· 5 years of experience in full-stack development
· 3 years of leading an R&D team
· MSc. BSc. in Computer Sciences from a top university
· Proven track record of design and implementation of building products from
scratch
· Experience with FFMPEG or similar media libraries
· Experience architecting, building, and testing media processing pipelines.
· Experience with streaming video delivery and playback.
· Experience in working with AWS or other cloud computing infrastructure
· Experience in Android/Linux environment – Advantage
· Knowledge of computer vision a plus.
