unit, manage a large group of multi-disciplinary engineers, provide vision and
direction, own overall responsibility for all engineering processes and best
practices aligned with Agile-Scrum methodologies.
The role includes being a part of the R&D management team, managing the
architecture, design, development, quality and delivery of the product line,
participating in product roadmap definitions, defining strategy, planning
releases and leading the overall execution.
Responsibilities
* Manage several groups of R&D engineers.
* Direct manager of Group Leaders and Architects
* Full responsibility over product area's technical domain – architecture, integrations, technical governance, methodologies and best practices
* Full responsibility over product area delivery, integrations, quality, etc.
* Build a long term roadmap and short term plans towards product delivery. Work in close collaboration with the respected Product Group(s)
* Strong relationship and team management with colleagues, customers, sales, regions, partners, services and product groups
Requirements
* 10+ years of Software R&D experience.
* 4+ years of experience in a senior managerial position, managing multiple teams/groups in a unit of 80+ engineers.
* Experience building products and groups from scratch, track record of leading a successful, complex project through the entire delivery cycle.
* Experience with full stack technologies and specific experience with objected-oriented languages (Java, C#), Front-End technologies (Angular), message services, and cloud platforms, on Windows and Linux environments
* Deep understanding of objected-oriented software development principles, methodologies and best practices, micro-service architecture.
* Experience in leading Agile teams and strong expertise with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
* Evidence of visionary and decisive leadership with the ability to inspire staff and others across the organization
